Become a Yoga News Reporter:

That's right, you can actually report on Yoga Events in your area.

Here are the guidelines...

We are only accepting submissions in English via email at ryan.munevar@gmail.com in either Microsoft Word for text only articles or html format if it has pictures. The two categories you can submit under are Yoga Events and Yoga Editorial.

NO Yoga Poetry or strange ramblings about the end times.

Include a brief 250 word max bio, a picture of yourself, and then the actual article no shorter than 500 words and no greater than 2,000.

Bio Example:

Bio(required):Andrea Wells is a Hatha Yoga Teacher in Los Angeles, CA with a degree in Sports Physiology from UCLA. She specializes in Low Back Injuries Rehabilitation and Nutrition.

Studio/School(optional): www.stardanceryogastudio.com

Email(optional): andrea.wells@stardanceryogastudio.com

Article(required... obviously): "Yoga Originated in deep space in a time when eating strawberries was a sin..."

Pictures:

If you intend to put pictures into your articles you will have to submit them in the entire article in html format in a table no greater than 471 pixels wide and you must have the pictures properly linked to a page that's storing them elsewhere than here for the specific reason of not overloading our bandwidth. Just use www.photobucket.com and best of all they are free.

We will not spend our time fixing your broken picture links or rearranging the pictures to make them fit aesthetically in and around the text. That's your job.

So is the grammar, spelling, and quote/fact accuracy must have reference sources with contact info given at the bottom of the article.

Once your article has been submitted you will get 1 of 3 responses in roughly 72 hours via email.

Response 1: Thank you for submitting, but we will not be using your article.

Response 2: Your article/event has merit, but we will not be posting it at this time. If for some reason this changes we will contact you with either an accept of deny.

Response3: Your article has been accepted, it will be posted on 3/8/07 under the event news section. Thank you for helping us make the world a more interesting place.

Examples about Event Articles can be in the form of a student attending a symposium giving a review, a teacher discussing how the event was or anything that was specifically featured like a specific healing class.
